Children's Book: Protea the Springbok | UProtea Ibadhi

Protea the Springbok | UProtea Ibadhi
Project Introduction
This project involved the creation of a children's book, aimed towards those aged 3 to 6. The story is based on the proverbial phrase: "A stumble may prevent a fall" and was written both in English and isiXhosa, referencing the Book Dash incentive in South Africa.

Book Dash serves as a platform for creators to publish children's books that are freely accessible to all, with a specific focus on making those books available in all of the official South African languages, to all people of the country.
A Stumble May Prevent a Fall
The chosen phrase holds personal meaning, but may also serve as a wonderful learning opportunity. By stumbling, or making a mistake, one may prevent a bigger mistake — a fall — later down the line whether sooner or later.

If the youth learn that mistakes are okay — even good — they may be exponentially more willing to take risks and broaden their horizons.
